The cord is thin like most reviwers say (as thin as iPod headphone cords) but if that affects quality I can't tell. This was the length of extension I needed and saved me from having to buy a separate jack for my receiver since it comes with it. They sound great to me with my Sennheiser headphones. It has a 1/4"/6.3mm to 3.5mm adapter that plugs into my receiver and fits your normal headphone size jack. The extension cord is of course 3.5mm on both ends. I haven't noticed any crackling, static, hiss or interference. The cord seems durable and doesn't look like it's going to break any time soon.
I only paid a couple bucks for this cable and it works like a charm. Don't get suckered into paying more. (side note fyi: you shouldn't pay more than $10 for HDMI cables either)
The cable works very well with my earphones. The 3 meter cable is great for watching late night tv when the kids are sleeping. I might order another set.
After reading many reviews, I decided to buy the more expensive Sony RK-G138 Headphone Extension Cable and am so glad I did. They make the sound richer, the ear buds are comfortable and stay put, and make it possible to listen to my radio or stereo while in bed or at my desk.A good product that does what the manufacturer says it does.
Just got this extension cable so that I could use my headphones (w/ a mini jack 3.5mm) and sit on the sofa (about 12' from the TV). I needed the converter to the stereo jack since I was plugging the headphones into our stereo system. The connectors were snug fitting - which is good - and the cable is thin but seems to be good quality. I'm very satisfied with this cable.
